Recipe: Jujube Crisp

Pre-heat oven to 375

  • 4 Cups Fresh Jujube fruit
  • 2 Tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 1/3 C Flour
  • ½ C Brown Sugar
  • 1 C Oatmeal
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/3 C melted butter

Slice fruit in half and remove seed. Slice halves again. Mix fruit with lemon juice. Combine all other ingredients and sprinkle on top. Bake for 35 minutes. Enjoy with ice cream.

Note: This crisp is very good, but it will not be as juicy as other fruit crisps (berry, peach, apple). For a juicier, more traditional crisp, add a second fruit — 3 cups Jujubes, 1 cup seasonal fruit of your choice (berry, peach, apple).
