Recipe: Grilled Jujubes

Grilled Jujubes

  • Fresh Jujubes
  • Oil
  • Brown sugar

Grill as many fresh jujubes as you’d like. Cut them in half and remove the seed. Rub them all over with oil (a neutral oil is best: Grapeseed, Canola).

Add them to the grill cut sides down and roast for about 5 – 10 minutes until they begin to soften. Turn them over and add a sprinkle of brown sugar to each. Let them cook another 5 – 10 minutes until the sugar has melted. Turn them over again and roast another minute or so to caramelize and crisp the sugary surface. Enjoy!
